Recognizing that America has the highest incidents of fires in the free world, the Fire Prevention Bureau of Newington Fire Department is tasked with assisting the Fire Marshal’s Office with educating citizens of all ages in fire safety and prevention. The Bureau is staffed by a Captain and four Lieutenants.

Working Together for Home Fire Safety! Did you know? More than 3,400 Americans die each year in fires and approximately 17,500 are injured. An overwhelming number of fires occur in the home.
