Human Rights Commission seeks your Input

hrsurvey

The issue of human rights has been discussed and debated since the beginning of time.  In 1948 the United Nations adopted The Universal Declaration of Human Rights which begins...

“Whereas recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world….”

The members of Newington's Human Rights Commission (HRC) would like to know how Newington residents think our community is doing to respect and uplift the lived experiences of all residents and what we can do to better foster inclusivity. We ask that you answer a few questions about your experiences in town. The survey should take less than 5 minutes. Your responses will help the HRC to better understand our town's climate as perceived by a diverse set of voices and perspectives. It will also help to guide our work as we seek to strengthen our community through the value of diversity.

Your answers to this survey are completely confidential and only aggregate/completely de-identified responses will be available publicly following the survey. - https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TLSWTN7

If you are interested in volunteering with the Newington HRC on a specific issue of importance to you, please use this link to contact the Newington Department of Human Services and specify in the comment box that you would like to volunteer with the HRC including the issue you would like to work on - https://www.newingtonct.gov/formcenter/Contact-Us-4/Contact-UsHuman-Services-65.
