Registrar's current Office Hours are Monday thru Thursday 8:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M., closed Fridays. New Hours starting Monday October 4th, 2021 until Friday November 12th, 2021 are 8:30 A.M. to 2:30 P.M. When the office is not open please visit the Town Clerk's office.
The last day to register to vote in the November 2nd, 2021 election is Tuesday, October 26th, 2021. The Registrar's office will be open until 8:00 P.M on Tuesday October 26th.. You can register in person or by going to our website. Mail In voter registrations must be post marked no later than October 26, 2021 in order to be accepted. Absentee ballots are available. Absentee ballot applications can be found on the Secretary of State website. Please mail in or use the secure ballot drop box located in Town Hall west parking lot for returning your application, the box is checked regularly.

Election Day Registration
If you register online on Election Day you need to go to the Election Day Registration location, Newington Town Hall 200 Garfield Street, to request your election day ballot. Also, if you are not registered by Election Day, you can come to Election Day Registration, which is held in the Newington Town Hall, 200 Garfield Street, Newington, to register to vote and and receive your ballot. Please come to Election Day Registration early in case of long lines.
Curbside Voting is also available if an elector is present at the polling place but is unable to gain access due to a permanent or temporary incapacity, the elector may request that the ballot be brought outside to him or her (§9-261(b)), If this becomes your situation have someone ask an election official at the polling place for assistance.
Election Day Hours: All polling locations will be open from 6:00am to 8:00pm. If you are in line at 8:00pm you will be able to vote.
If you vote at the Town Hall/Mortensen Community Center, District 1, please park in the WEST parking lot and follow signs for voting.
