On 4/3/18, at approximately 7:00 pm, Newington Police Officers were summoned to a town council meeting at the town hall for a complaint of a resident creating a disturbance.  The resident, identified as William Gardner, was escorted outside by an Officer assigned to the meeting.  After Gardner left the area, a witness came forward and reported they heard Gardner make threats to kill people as he was entering the meeting.  Officers located Gardner and he was taken into custody without incident and charged with Breach of Peace 2nd Degree.  Gardner was released on a $5,000.00 bond and is expected to appear in New Britain Superior Court on 4/17/18.
