Calling all children from birth through 6^th grade who live in Newington! Come to the Children’s Department anytime between September 1 – 29 to sign up for a library card and receive a free goody bag (new registrants only).

Curl up and watch Show Dogs in the comfort of the Program Room.  Max, a macho, solitary Rottweiler police dog is ordered to go undercover as a primped show dog in a prestigious Dog Show, along with his human partner, to avert a disaster from
happening. The movie is rated PG and runs 92 minutes.

The Amazing Code Coaches from the Coder School in Farmington will be here to give a class in learning the foundations of coding with Scratch.  Students may bring their own Chromebook or use one here.  Beginning September 1, students ages 7 – 12 may call to register.
