If you no longer own the car and returned the plate to the Department of Motor Vehicles, or have moved out of state, you need to supply a copy of the returned plate receipt, or a copy of the out of state registration for a possible adjustment on your bill. The information may be faxed to the Assessor at 860-665-8533, or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org . Any questions on documentation call the Assessor’s Office at 860-665-8530.
