Welcome to the Newington Police Department Records Division. Our Records Division handles all reports generated by the Police Department. Our purpose and goal is to provide 100% customer service to both our internal and external customers. The division does this by storing, retrieving, reproducing and delivering reports to all of our customers alike. Below you will find answers to commonly asked questions, the cost of reports, types of reports and directions to our office. You can reach us by phone Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
Updated Police Reports Request Procedure:
Due to COVID-19 concerns, anyone that requires reports from the NPD Records Department (including Background Checks, Tag Sale Permits and Gun Permits) may request the reports using our record request form and provide the required information in the form. There will be no in-person requests for reports. Call 860-665-7331 with any questions.
Fingerprinting services will be done every Tuesday between the hours of 10:00 am and 2:00 pm by appointment only for a $25 fee (cash/check). To make an appointment call the Records Department at (860) 665-7331 between the hours of 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday. You will be required to wear a mask and will be asked a series of health related questions, along with a temperature check, prior to being fingerprinted.
