Join us for orientation meeting as we seek volunteers to assist in preparation for the Holidays, Meeting will be held on Wednesday October 15, 2025 at 5pm at the Senior & Disabled Center Multi- Purpose Room
Volunteering with us can be a wonderful way to support the programs that help your neighbors most in need, but it can also be a rewarding experience for yourself too!
The perks of volunteering are many! Making new friendships; finding a new purpose in retirement; finding joy in helping others, bulking up a resume, learning a new skill or simply making a difference in someone’s life.
Newington Human Services has long served the residents of Newington in a variety of capacities – social work services, financial casework, advocacy, mental health counseling, youth programming, Holiday Food and Gift Distribution and most notably our Foodbank.
We serve over 400 Newington households (approximately 800+ individuals) each year. Meeting the varied needs of our clients requires the support of many volunteers. Simply put, we could not do what we do without volunteers.
