Join five of your community organizations (Central Connecticut Health District - CCHD, Newington Dept. of Human Services, InterCommunity Health, AMR, & Newington Police Department) for an evening of learning, connections and community!
At this free event you will learn:
- How the opioid crisis is affecting the Newington community
- How to respond to an opioid overdose
- How to administer naloxone (Narcan)
- Harm reduction techniques and resources
- The Good Samaritan Law
- Local resources for support, treatment and recovery
All participants will receive FREE naloxone (Narcan) and FREE fentanyl, medetomidine, and xylazine testing strips upon request.
