[ARCHIVED] The Gift Shop is Now Accepting Consignor Appointments

the word "consignment" in black letters on an aqua blue background

It has been almost 2 ½ years since the Gift Shop at the Newington Senior and Disabled Center had to suspend operation, but at long last, we feel we are in a position to resume operation -- shooting for a fall reopening.

In order to open, however, we need our old and new consignors to come in with goodies to stock our tables and shelves!  We are hoping you are willing to bring in some new or gently used items to begin this process, such as costume jewelry in good condition, small accessories such as purses or wallets, scarves, vases, decorative bowls or glassware (no clear drinking glasses, please), serving ware, other small collectables, decorative items, ornaments or other items of interest.  If you have items to bring in for consignment, please contact Charlene Magnano at 860-665-8778 to schedule an appointment with Rose Bolton.   Appointments are held on Tuesdays.

The rules are primarily the same – you will receive 75% of the selling price for each item.  The following items will not be accepted:

  • No clothing
  • No furniture
  • No Pictures/Paintings
  • No CD’s, Records, Cassette Tapes
  • Personal Care Products – must be unused, sealed & in original packaging
  • Small Appliances – must be unused & in original packaging

We are excited to have our Gift Shop open again and hope you will be able to consign once again with us.   We look forward to seeing you!
