The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report is the official statement of the Town's financial position on June 30, at the close of the fiscal year. It has three parts.

• Introductory Section - Listing of officials; brief history of Newington; statement of Town government values and responsibilities; organizational chart
• Asset Section - Management analysis; basic financial statements; required supplementary pension information; associated independent auditor's report
• Statistical Section - Comparative data, graphs and other information on taxes, revenues, expenditures, debt, socioeconomic data
