Loan Periods

Most library materials may be checked out of the library for a period of three weeks, with some exceptions.

Museum Passes

The loan period for museum passes varies from 1-3 days.

  • Entertainment DVDs and game CD-ROMs circulate for 7 days.
  • There is a limit of 8 DVDs per family per day.
  • DVDs borrowed at Lucy Robbins Welles Library may be returned to any Connecticut public library.

All items and museum passes may be renewed once if no one is on the waiting list. Renewals may be placed on the phone, in person, or online.

RENTAL books have now become RAPIDREAD books. They have a 7-day loan period, no charge. After that, they have a $1 per day fine, with a maximum of $5.00. These books are not renewable nor can you put them on reserve.
