Craft Beer & Cocktail Tasting
Join us on Friday, July 18th at Mill Pond Park for a thirst quenching evening of tasting great local craft beer. CRAFT BEER & COCKTAIL TICKETS WILL BE VALID FOR TASTING FROM 6:00 - 8:00 PM but the fun does not stop then. Purchase your craft beer tasting ticket online now by clicking the "find tickets" button or come to the Newington Parks and Recreation office during our normal business hours. All craft beer tickets purchased in advance will be $30 (Save $15). Tickets purchased at the event will be $45. The concert is FREE to the public. All attendees at the craft beer tasting must be 21 or older. Please call our hotline at 860-665-8686 if the weather is inclement. Night of Lights
Newington Parks and Recreation’s Night of Lights is a beloved annual celebration that brings the community together to kick off the holiday season. Held on Main Street in the heart of Newington, this festive evening is filled with sparkling lights, joyful music, and family-friendly activities. Highlights of the event include the grand lighting of the town tree, live ice sculpting, cozy fire pits with s’mores, hay wagon and train rides, and even a visit from Santa himself! Families can enjoy free hot chocolate, games like the chicken flinger contest, interactive mural coloring, and fun attractions such as a video game trailer and remote-control car races. Night of Lights is a free event open to all and offers a magical way to celebrate the season with friends, neighbors, and the entire Newington community.

Summer Concert Series
The Edythe and Harry Mandell Summer Concert Series takes place from the middle of May to the beginning of August. The concerts take place under the Mill Pond Park Pavilion, and the series features over 10 bands every summer! Join us at Mill Pond Park each Thursday night from the start of the series at our Motorcycle Madness event to the end of the series in the beginning of August!
