Temporary Newington library cards are available to Newington residents who do not have a currently have a library card while the library building is closed. If you think you may already have a card please, email refdept@newingtonct.gov or call 860-665-8700 so we can check before you are issued a temporary card
When you register you will receive a temporary card number. This number will work for OverDrive/Libby, Hoopla RBDigital and many online services.
This e-Card will be good for 30 days or until we return to full services. When the library reopens to the public you will be able to place holds, but will not be able to borrow any materials until visiting Lucy Robbins Welles Library to provide proof of residency and complete the registration process and given a plastic library card.. This can be done the first time you visit to pick up hold requests. Please bring photo ID (i.e. driver's license, passport, etc.) with proof of Newington residency, such as a utility bill or other official mail, in addition to the temporary card number below.
