Building Department

As of July 1, 2025, building permit fees will increase. The new fee rates for any value of work up to $3000 will have a permit fee of $50. If the value is over $3000, round up to the nearest thousand and the fee is calculated at $15 per thousand (Do not add in the $50 for the first $3000). Example: If the value of work is $3200, round up to $4000, 4 X $15= $60.

Building fee schedule as of July 1, 2025

Previous Fee schedule through June 30, 2025. Any value of work up to $4000 has a permit fee of $50. If the value is over $4000, round up to nearest thousand and the fee is calculated at $11 per thousand (Do not add in the $50 for the first $4000). Example: If the value of work is $4200, round up to $5000, 

5 X $11 = $55.

Applying for Permits 

   You may apply for permits:

• Online
• Or by Mail

1. Use the Online Permit Center to set up an account and apply for permits (links provided further down on this page).
2. Print the forms from the list of Permit Forms located in the green column to the left. 
3. Mail in the completed forms, any supporting documents and payment to the Building Department at the address listed on the forms. 
4. Apply in person.
